bam!

not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES NOW (i heard there was a 4th incident but i must not have been around), a car has slammed into these ugly ass pots.

last night, i heard the crash and witnessed the immediate aftermath. after bouncing off the concrete, the corner stop sign stopped the rolling vehicle. lucky for him, the driver wasn't hurt and there weren't cars parked on that side of the street like there are 99% of the time.

people drive too fast in this city. i've emailed our alderwoman to get reflectors installed on these stupid things. hopefully, i'll have an update soon.

holiday brush with greatness

i went to high school with these people and i love them

yes, we had a giant new year's party, and no, i didn't take pictures.

this, however, was the ONE PHOTO i managed to snap before i went to into hostess oblivion. so happy i managed to remember.

holiday music is my jam.

to save money, paper, and time, i chose not to do my customary holiday cd. postage on square items has gotten out of control. and honestly, who really listens to actual cds anymore? i, myself, am anchored to my itunes library, or on the occasion, will try out new tunes on spotify. streaming is the way of the world, me thinks.

sharing a playlist on spotify was a complete experiment, but it seems that some individuals from my list of recipients were able to listen to it at least.

we acted like bulls in ronda, spain

the gorgeous town of ronda gave us the best picture op of all - the chance to walk around (act ridiculously) inside an actual bullfighting ring.
