i guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but honestly, i don't know whether to be flattered or flabbergasted. click the image below for details.
sound familiar?
thanks, willow, for pointing this one out.

happy geeking
lately, i've been letting my inner geek out puttering, uploading, downloading, ripping, zipping, and streaming. dabney even cleaned off an area in our workroom where i can hold court with all my cables and drives. damn, it's been fun.
i also have been exploring the wide wide world of google. there are so many things that those google geeks have been coming up with that i had no idea i couldn't live without - now, i certainly can't. lately, google reader and i have become BFFs and are nearly inseparable. she rocks.
don't even get me started on the joys of gmail... http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/
and here's a little nugget from my friends at lifehacker...

over-turkeyed
after 4 solid days of thanksgiving leftovers, i hit my limit last night. i needed something else - preferably asian and preferably spicy as hell. this only left two viable options in our neighborhood: indian or korean.
winner was...
korean food - in the form of soon dubu jigae (spicy tofu stew, mine had seafood in it).
dabney curled up in a bowl of okdol bibimbap (tofu, of course).
it was the best. meal. ever.

project runway thrill
i promised myself i wouldn't touch superette during the high turkey holiday, but viewing this week's episode of project runway, i can't help myself.
i've professed my love of PR before, but the was the episode of all episodes - the delightful sarah jessica partner played the part of guest judge. i don't think it would have been possible for PR producers to find a bigger fashion icon.
catch the rerun! bravotv.com

yep, you got it; that's our famous kimono baby tees, now, in the form of a balloon dog!
if that's not enough, hold onto your hats, folks... it's LONG SLEEVE - just in time for winter.

random things
here's a watch tattoo. funny, no?
the station agent was on cable this weekend. has to be the best. movie. ever.
i went for a short walk late yesterday afternoon. i couldn't stop looking at the sky.
and then i was surprised at all the premature decorations.
marshall herskovitz and ed zwick can do no wrong in my book. i was a huge fan of thirtysomething and my so-called life. i found artistic merit in both relativity and once & again.
these guys are at it again in the brand-new series quarterlife that airs on the internet only... for now. abc is picking it up next season. hooray! watch part 1 below (10 minutes).

happy birthday to dabney!
today is the very day that my little cowgirl was born.
happy birthday, sweet girl!

no break
you'd think that while dabney's away selling our products in LA, i might get a little break: a moment to enjoy some peace and quiet in our apartment, read the sunday paper, watch golf. you'd think...
instead, i'll be back in my old stomping grounds selling more mogo goods. this time, i'll be at the wellesley marketplace tomorrow from 10-4. this is a total experiment - for once, it will be a show minus the arty, hipster, alternative element. instead, add a little yuppie, a pinch of preppy, and a dash of junior league and you've got the picture.
if you're in the area, swing by and say hello, will you? more info here.

mogo goes to la-la land
mogo makes its california debut this weekend at felt club LA.
this sunday, from 11am-6pm, 75+ artists, crafters, and designers from SoCal and beyond will decend upon la city college and show off their latest wares. mogo will be among them.
it is ourfirst third transcontinental show. we're hoping that a lot of folks will show up to make our hours of figuring out how to pack worth it. bonus: american airline baggage handlers are going to love seeing our ginormous tent rolling down the conveyor belt.
los angelenos, see you sunday!

back from the city of steel
just returned from a successful weekend at pittsburgh's laudable handmade arcade.
pittsburghers sure are super nice, and i dare say, the biggest football fans on the planet. it was hard not to notice the number of fair attendants ablaze in gold and black. and i must mention the entire set of pittsburgh steeler luggage that came off the aiport carousel just in front of my indistinguishable black rollie bag - it was hard to ignore (of course, it was picked up by a couple in matching p'burgh steelers jackets and hats). we're talking mega-fans.
here are some great photos from the weekend provided by handmade arcade-sanctioned photographer, larry rippel.
a big holla and thanks go out to julie, alison, jennifer, and the rest of the HA organizers. they really outdid themselves this year: the enormity of the crowds, the plentitude of volunteers, the variety of vendors... all in all, the day couldn't have gone any smoother. thanks, ladies!

a year has slipped by... hairlessly.
what would have been our third wig & moustache pub crawl didn't happen this year. sadly, without our dear ashbloem being here, i don't think it would have been the same.
on that note, here's an notable article in this month's vanity fair regarding toothbrush moustaches.

more costumes
this is the halloween that just keeps giving. it was a week ago. yet, we keep getting pictures from friends that are just too good not to blog.
here's little "e" in her pumpkin costume. doesn't she look so happy? sugar high, i think not.
arigato to lisa who kindly shared her brilliant variation of our sushi costumes of yore. don't you just love the wooden sushi platter and chopsticks?
olive and mochi look delicious, no?

halloween party at the palace
it turns out that saturday night in provincetown was the perfect shriner test drive for our mini-cars, because last night's official halloween party required lots of figure eights, wheelies, and general boogieing. thank goodness we re-inforced and re-glued (and thank god for duct tape).
the official party thrown by hosts extraordinairre - tom and alex - had a goth theme. as a result, we needed a costume overhaul. no longer were we mere shriners...
we were here zombie shriners who have died in drunk-driving accidents.
these guys really know how to throw a party.
there were statues...
ravens...
naughty jack-o-lanterns...
and flame throwers...
yes, i said FLAME THROWERS. don't take my word for it. see for yourself.
more shots from the festivities:
sexy flight crew
confession or exorcism? you decide.
raven feast
